00056 - Night shift departing on a PM transport

Can we have functionality where if a person on night shift status is departing on a PM transport it makes the room they were occupying un available for that night? The current process we have is where a person on night shift cannot depart in the AM, they go back to their room to sleep - we want to avoid disturbing them. Currently we report these and go through and lock the rooms for that night, however it is a time consuming process.
Thank you - Adam.

Hi PL Project Team and Kelly Jansen, we have the similar issue. The enhancement that BHP WAIO are working on with INX is to attach a grace period to a late check out which will mean that you will not need to do a room lock however it will be dependent on the shift status being updated (which can be done in bulk or in the workflow).
A half manday will also be applied for billing purposes to the service provider if this is a requirement.
It isn't far away so hopefully there is an udpate for you soon.

We have a similar work-around here in OD. The other challenge is (e.g.) when personnel are on DS and should check out in the morning to travel out PM, but don't work that day due to being unwell / finish early and need to rest or sleep in their room for the day.
We currently use an FD shift status (fatigue day) but this still requires for us to manually lock the rooms for that night to avoid occupation.
