WAIO BHP have an enhancement request similar to this particular query. We have had the system enhanced for our late check out guests however the next phase is to attach a grace period to the room status for that guest. Currently team members are allocating late check outs and room locking all of the rooms to avoid an incoming resident being booked in or the optimiser putting another guest into this room. It is not feasible for utilisation for room types to have a grace period all the time so this option would aid in this further.

NiWest may require similar outcome in the near future due to optimisation of Motelling rooms.

Generally Motelling Room Type will have 0 Grace period.

Could the Optimiser review resident Shift Status (similar to ACA) where the Previous or Outgoing Shift is RO or FR and this would allow a 1 day grace period for the room occupied by resident with those roster shift status?

Rosters run into Buffel Park Short Stay rooms

Roster has been built as per the below - this means that on the final day the shift status will show Late Departure.

At present this allows a booking to be allocation/optimised into that room, which is impacting the BMA team as they have to ensure these rooms are not allocated on that final day.

We have looked at better ways to ensure the rooms have been left vacant

this will not work as these bookings roll through the Short Stay and they cannot have a grace period for these rooms

Reduces their optimising ability by adding more room types
